PLEXIS included in Gartner’s 2016 Market Guide for Healthcare Payers’ Core Administrative Processing Systems as a Representative Vendor

For the second year in a row, PLEXIS Healthcare Systems is included in Gartner’s Market Guide for Healthcare Payers’ Core Administrative Processing Systems (16 February 2016) as a representative vendor.

“We’re really pleased to see Gartner list PLEXIS again,” said Sean Garrett, Chief Operating Officer at PLEXIS. “With Core Admin 2.0, our new evolution of core administrative technology, we are providing a richly expanded set of solutions to empower payers to do more business at lower costs enterprise-wide.”

In this year’s guide, Gartner provides key findings for the 2016 U.S. healthcare payer market, recommendations for payer CIOs, and important market analysis. According to Gartner, “U.S. healthcare payer CIOs are focusing their core administration modernization efforts on lowering the cost of doing business, but are also seeking solutions that support new product and service offerings, new pricing and payment models, and increased compliance and reporting requirements.”

Gartner says that as a response to market drivers, the 15 core administrative technology vendors mentioned in its guide have enhanced the quality of their technology solution sets to empower payers to:

  1. Comply more effectively to increasingly complex government mandates
  2. Effectively integrate with a greater number of related payer applications and processes
  3. Support greater engagement, coordination, and active management of members and providers
  4. Enable collaboration through greater transparency of information
  5. Conduct more comprehensive data analytics and generate richer reports

To summarize the solutions offered by the fifteen core administrative technology vendors, Gartner provides a chart of key vendor data.
